Hiking

The Lake District is home to England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike. Its summit reaches an impressive 978 meters and stands at the heart of the National Park.

The climb to the top should not be underestimated. To have the best experience, plan ahead, use a map and check weather conditions before setting off. However, once you reach its peak the views will be well worth the hike.

If England’s highest mountain seems like a step too far! There are may more fells and mountains throughout the country to try, which might not leave such a burn in the thighs!
